OUR PHILANTHROPY IS
FIGHTING HUNGER!
Alice Grace Beavers
VP Philanthropy
Hi! My name is Alice Grace Beavers, and I have the honor of serving as the Vice President of Philanthropy for the Gamma Nu Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at the University of Tennessee. Leading our chapter’s efforts to fight hunger has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience.
Alpha Gamma Delta’s mission to combat food insecurity shapes everything we do. Through national partnerships with Feeding America and Meals on Wheels, and with support from the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, we are proud to be part of a larger movement working to ensure individuals and families have access to the food they need.
Here in Knoxville, our chapter puts this purpose into action. In the fall, we hosted “Let’s Taco ’Bout Fighting Hunger,” bringing our campus together for a night of fun and impact. In the spring, we celebrated our National Week of Service, launched our 1K in a Day campaign, and held the Alpha Gam Marketplace to raise support for local hunger relief efforts.
But what truly sets Gamma Nu apart is the heart behind the service for which we give. During our Week of Service, our members wrote over 600 valentines for hospital patients, handed out meals with the Knoxville Dream Center, served at the Love Kitchen, and gave their time to local partners across the city. As proud Tennessee Volunteers, our commitment to service is more than tradition—it’s a way of life. We believe in lighting the way for others and lifting up our community through every act of kindness.
Our sisters lead with compassion, serve with intention, and believe deeply in creating a more nourished world. I’m so proud to be part of a chapter that shows up, gives back, and lives out our purpose every single day.
With love,
Alice Grace Beavers
