OUR PHILANTHROPY IS

FIGHTING HUNGER!

Rylee Choat

2026 VP Philanthropy

Hi! My name is Rylee Choat, and I have the honor of serving this year as Alpha Gamma Delta’s Vice President of Philanthropy for the Gamma Nu Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at the University of Tennessee. This chapter has brought me so many blessings, and serving in this role and being able to lead our chapter’s efforts to fight hunger has truly been one of the most rewarding parts of my college experience.

Alpha Gamma Delta’s philanthropic focus is fighting hunger. Through our national partnerships with Feeding America and Meals on Wheels, along with the support of the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, we are honored to contribute to a broader effort focused on making sure individuals and families have reliable access to food.

Here in Knoxville, we can bring our mission to life in many ways. Our annual fall philanthropy event, “Taco Jam,” allowed us to bring our campus community together for a fun and impactful event. This spring, we’ve already made a meaningful impact through our National Week of Service, and our “1K in a Day” online fundraiser, where we broke records, raising over $26,000 for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation! We also hosted our annual Alpha Gam Marketplace, an event that supports both our philanthropy and local businesses around the Knoxville community.

What makes Gammu Nu especially meaningful, though, is the genuine passion our members have for serving others. During our Week of Service, members made over 600 Valentine’s Day Cards for the patients at UT Medical Center, distributed meals alongside the Knoxville Dream Center, and supported several organizations throughout the community. As Alpha Gams, we truly value service, and we strive to make a difference by showing up for others and spreading kindness.

Our sisters are dedicated to serving with purpose, leading with empathy, and working towards a better world where no one goes hungry. I am beyond blessed and grateful to be a part of a chapter that truly lives through its values and consistently gives back.

With love,

Rylee
